The Human Rights Academy, a program by Amnesty International, presents a substantial collection of human rights courses available in over 20 languages, all offered at no cost through its dedicated app. The courses vary in duration, spanning from 15 minutes to 15 hours, and upon successful completion, participants can earn an official certificate from Amnesty International.

This initiative is aimed at nurturing a new generation of human rights defenders, thereby enhancing the human rights movement through practical, action-oriented education. Participants will gain insights into various human rights issues and will be encouraged to engage actively. Topics covered include freedom of expression, an introductory overview of human rights, indigenous peoples’ rights, the right to freedom from torture, and digital security related to human rights, among others. The flexible learning environment allows individuals to progress through the courses at their own pace without any prerequisites in human rights knowledge.

Furthermore, the app enables users to download courses for offline access. Once downloaded while connected to Wi-Fi, learners can access the material on the go without incurring data charges.
